The Latest Bug Fixes
A few notable bug fixes just went out:
- Pros can now disable Printmarks for orders held in Proof Delay. Doing so applies to just that image in that order and won’t affect the gallery settings, or for any other order that includes that photo.
- Cropping thumbnails will advance you to the next image in the gallery, rather than just staying on the same photo.
- We fixed a video processing bug so that movies with high detail and motion will remain as crystal-clear as they were before.
- Folks editing their photos in Picnik will see the saved files keep the original filenames, instead of getting renamed.
- A few people noticed that Album Download orders placed from galleries made up of Collected photos were acting funny. They will now display the correct pricing in the shopping cart and the zip file should download without a hitch.

Hi Leighton, it pains us to say it, but yes, reupload and the video will be again in the high quality you’re used to. Sorry about that.
Please, please fix the problem with Email Uploads. It’s a big part of what I use SmugMug for.
We’ll get it fixed, sorry – email uploading works if there’s no caption in the body of the email – but with a caption, it’s failing. Sorry for the hassle!

The character coding has been messed for some reason… My site is using central-european letters too, and it looks like this

It’s not supposed to look like this, it has been working fine since I’m using Smugmug. I’m wondering if german users are experiencing the same?

So how does one upgrade to take advantage of these fixes, or are they somehow automatic?

So what is on to do when a customer says they did not get there down load???
This is the first time someone has sent me photos so I have no password. Requested password and got nothing. What do I do now?

Hey, thanks for that printmarks update (disable in proof delay)…It could not have come at a better time – I am sure I will be using it this week.
Just want you all to know you are appreciated!
Two comments:
1) When can we expect to see fixes for the iPad app? The first time (and only time) it worked, it was awesome. After the first time, I haven’t been able to download any new photos from my gallery since…and there is no SmugMug iPad help site to help resolve the problem nor provide updates.
2) Feature request — create a “social” style or layout. I’ve gone through all of the various styles for my site and can’t find one that satisfactorily shows the photos, thumbnails, and comments on the current photo in a way that I can see all of the above on the same screen.
Overall, I love the site and (is desparately too strong…?) hope you will fix the iPad app soon.
